Electricity, Gas and Water
You are responsible for contacting the utility companies and arranging for transferring the existing utility services to your name, and billed directly to you, effective on the 1st day of your lease. The starting date for service needs to be your LEASE START DATE and not the date you plan to move in. You should contact the utility companies at least two weeks in advance of your lease start date. If you fail to have the utilities switched to your name prior to your lease start date we will incur connection and usage fees which will be billed back to you in addition to a $25 administrative fee.

Garbage Service
If your lease calls for you to provide your own garbage service there are over a dozen contractors who can provide this service. You should consult the SBC Yellow Pages under "Garbage & Rubbish Removal" for a complete listing. Some contractors provide only "curbside" pickup and others provide both "curbside" and "backdoor" pickup. A few contractors who our tenants say provide dependable service are:
